HORUS RME - Development of HORUS RME Airborne Multi.mode Radar Family

Project Description

Design and development of a multi-mode airborne radar family composed of a lightweight scalable architecture with Navigation, Surveillance (ISTAR), Maritime Patrol and Early Warning capabilities for installation in helicopters, fixed wing and UAV airborne platforms.

• Design of advanced radar signal processing algorithms for radar modes
• Design of advanced data processing algorithms for multi-target acquisition and tracking
• Development of multiprocessor parallelized SW on multi.core architecture
• Development a wideband planar slot-array antenna in X-band for multi-platform installation
• Development of a digital receiver with large spurious free dynamic range and wide instantaneous bandwidth
• X-band transmitter with high duty cycle, power and stability
• Development of mechanical technologies for airborne equipment (ruggedized, cooling and power efficient and lightweight)
