Indra completes the acquisition of Deimos
The acquisition of Deimos has been completed after the securing of the relevant authorizations, enabling Indra to launch the integration. As a result of the above acquisition Indra will continue to develop the capabilities of its Space NewCo
Deimos brings complementary capabilities to those of Indra Espacio to expand the upstream target range of the Space NewCo and access European programs
The acquisition will allow Indra’s Space NewCo to improve its positioning with the ESA and space institutions and gain access to end-to-end programs and initiatives
Indra has successfully completed the acquisition of Deimos after obtaining all of the relevant regulatory approvals. The strategic transaction announced in August 2024 is thus concluded. With the transaction now completed, Indra will begin to fully integrate the capabilities of Deimos into the Space NewCo offering.
With its expertise in satellite integration and critical flight subsystems, Deimos will provide key capabilities in all of the phases of a space mission. The acquisition will also enhance Indra’s capabilities in the ground segment, particularly in terms of the development of control and mission software and space surveillance and tracking. Deimos is also at the forefront of domestic and European space programs.
